About the Jackson County Library Foundation

The Jackson County Library Foundation is committed to building a vibrant library system that is recognized for the excellence of its services, facilities, and staff. As the fundraising organization for the Jackson County Library Services, the Foundation seeks financial support for selected capital improvements, enhancements, services, and programs that are not provided by the County.

The Foundation is a private, nonprofit 501(C)3 organization, directed by a volunteer Board of Directors from throughout the county. We manage funds donated to grow library programs, build the collection, enhance library buildings, and create new opportunities to meet the changing needs of our community.

Formed in 1982, the Foundation helps secure funds for the libraries in Jackson County in a variety of ways: writes grants for programs and library events, accepts donations to the Libraries, manages bequests and donations for restricted funds, manages annual funds, and supports ongoing programming.

To accomplish our mission and objectives, the Foundation works in conjunction with Jackson County Library Services, Jackson County government and LS&S, the company responsible for managing operations of the Jackson County Library Services.
